The Map Editor is an additional piece of software which allows players to customize and create their own maps to play in. Players will be able to place units, buildings, creeps and ruins anywhere in the world and then load their map in the game.

During the Senior Project fair a map making contest will be happening. Bring your creative and gaming experience to best your opponents! And of course with any contest there will be prizes.

When you are done making a map show a team member of Chaos Reigns to redeem your Ring Pop!


Save/Load: You can create a brand new map or load a previously created map through the Load and New buttons located at the top of the map editor interface. You can then save these maps to your computer and be able to play them in game.

Player Mode: In this tab you can set the starting amount of resources for the map and the number of players and their starting base locations

Adding a Player:

  • Left Click on the Add Button next to a player number
  • Hover your mouse over the viewport to view an outline
  • Left click again to set the location of the player base and add the player to your map

Unit Mode: The unit tab allows you to add units for players to start the game with as well as to add neutral creeps to the map.

Adding a Unit:

  • Select the unit you wish to add.
  • Ensure "Place New Units" Radio button is selected.
  • Left Click on the Map Where you wish to place the unit.

Doodad Mode: The doodad tab allows you to add additional content to your map. Doodads are filler Content(They have no real functionality) which enables you to make your maps look more interestin.g

Adding a Doodad:

  • Select the doodad you wish to add.
  • Ensure the "Place doodad" radio button is selected.
  • Left click on the map where you wish to place the doodad.
